About this Event

Raising a family in the modern world can be difficult. Join us for a weekend dedicated to strengthening our families and building our homes into true domestic churches.

This weekend is designed to be relaxing and give every member of the family time for spiritual, human, intellectual, and pastoral growth. Leave with the tools to turn your home into a missionary outpost of your parish, and network with other Catholic families from around the State of New Mexico and beyond.

Hotel Information

Conference Attendees receive a discount rate at the Embassy Suites on 2 room suites with 2-3 beds (1 pullout) at $93 per night. You will be emailed a code for the hotel upon completing your registration, and rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis. Rate includes a full service breakfast each morning of your stay and evening hotel happy hour.

Friday, February 15, 2018 (Registration and Hotel Check-In)

  • Registration will be open from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the conference area, and hotel guests can check-in at the front desk.

Saturday, February 16, 2018 (Conference Day)

  • Breakfast on Your Own – Free full service breakfast is complimentary for registered hotel guests.
  • 9:15 AM – Family Opening Session with Remarks from Archbishop Wester and Bishop Wall
  • 10 AM to Noon: Women Breakout Sessions [Men watch their children]: 45 Minutes of Adoration, Confession, and 5 Minute Mini-Talks; 20 Minute Coffee Shop Break and Socializing; 45 Minute Talk and Small Group Discussions on Strengthening your Marriage and Building Your Home into a “Missionary Outpost” of your Parish.
  • Noon: Family Boxed Lunches
  • 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM – Men’s Breakout Sessions [Women watch their children]: 45 Minutes of Adoration, Confession, and 5 Minute Mini-Talks.; 20 Minute Coffee Shop Break and Socializing.; 45 Minute Talk and Small Group Discussions on Strengthening your Marriage and Building Your Home into a “Missionary Outpost” of your Parish. This will also include a brief overview of the Apostolic Exhortation of “Into the Breach.”
  • 3:30 to 4 PM – Family Prayer: Families will regroup together and participate in a short prayer time together by reciting the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
  • 5 PM – Family Dinner: Dinner will be family friendly and informal. Seating will be arranged by region so that you can get to know other families from your area. Dessert will be organized to distract the children while the parents receive brief closing remarks summarizing the talks from the day and talking about moving forward as a family. After Dinner there will be music and other entertainment facilitating socializing among families. Parents can put their children to bed whenever is best for them, but the socializing will continue later in the night (we expect to at least 11:00 PM).

Sunday, February 17, 2018 (Family Day)

  • Breakfast on Your Own – Free full service breakfast is complimentary for registered hotel guests.
  • 10 AM – Mass

Conference Ends after mass, but families may extend their stay an extra day to make it a family vacation on the 3 day weekend.
