Brother Richard Gomez, DGK of Council 9504, Cannon AFB was participating in the 24 hour vigil run to bring to light and honor the 82,678 personnel still unaccounted for from past conflicts to present. The run is the preface to the POW/MIA retreat which took place on 16 September 2016 during National POW/MIA Recognition Day. The Black and White flag was raised as a solemn reminder of our obligation to always remember the sacrifices made to defend our nation.
